I like having a welder in the garage. When stupid stuff like this happens:
I can just zap my caulking gun back together!
A little bit of paint removal with a wire wheel…
…and a few tack welds…
…and it’s fixed.
These welds suck, no doubt. I had some 0.035 welding wire in my machine from my last welding project, which involved joining some relatively thick metals. Being too lazy to switch to a more appropriate, thinner 0.025 wire, these welds came out like garbage. They’re all goobery and stuck way out from the metal, so I ground them down a bit.
I still have a lot of welding experience to attain.
